Sheridan College & WHMC Partner Together to Teach Community How to Process Meat

Today, Sheridan College began its first day of its Community Meat Processing Class at Western Heritage Meat Company. Students came dressed in frocks and plastic-covered shoes to tour our meat processing plant for their orientation.

They’ll be spending Fridays this fall semester with their processor and one of our veteran meat cutters learning hands-on everything they need to know about processing beef, pork, and lamb.

We are so excited to be partnered with Sheridan College for this project and to be sharing our passion for processing with our community.

We will have another class in the Spring focused more specifically on USDA meat processing.

Cheers to encouraging and empowering our region, rich with incredible meat producers!
